Im an British architect (newly qualified finished part 3 a year ago). Im moving to Oz but just cant decide where. Ive narrowing it down to Sydney and Perth now.

My main priority is to earn as much money as possible. I dont really care if I live in a shit hole/ shared room or flat. As I will probably be on my own abit and my girlfriend will come later. I think I can earn about $75000 a year.

I visited Oz a couple of years ago. I found Brisbane dull and Melbourne nothing special . But I liked Sydney. Its a cliché that Sydney is expensive. But I think thats because simply its "better".??

Ive just lived in Bangkok for 2 years so Im afraid Perth (or even sydney for that matter) will be farely dull compared with the former.

I have a mate moved to Perth so i am considering there but not have not been there. However I like nightlife and I heard its more of a family town.

Any ideas :

1.Where I can make the most money Earning about $75000 possibly more in Sydney (taking into account rent etc)
2. Prices for rooms per week or month or studio flats ?
