Does anyone know whether i can send off my ARTC application while over in Australia to validate my visa? We will be moving over for good in 2009 hopefully, but was just wondering if i could send off the application using some friends of ours address in Brisbane.

Also, have i read the TRA site correct, in that there is no fee for this being as i have already been assessed by them for migration?

Yes mate you should be able to do that. You will need an aussie JP to sign copies of your passport and visa. It is free as tra have already assessed you. Did mine last month, no probs..

Do i really need the Australian JP to certify them? as i already have copies of everything left over from the main application, but all cerified in the UK.

as long as they are certified correctly you vca use them
i used copies of my original tra ones

put your mates aussie address on for correspondance as whilst they will send an appication overseas they will only issue a cert to an aussie address

if its ready you can send it prior to arriving just show your arrival date in Au as july and it should be almost ready for when you validate
that way you can get on with any licences etc that are required for your job ( if any )

Hi. I'm not in any rush to get licenses sorted, and yes there are a few i will need .
We are coming across in July to validate, then heading back to the UK, as kids are half way through there final years at school.

How long does it take to get the ARTC? hubby sent application off and it was received on 12th May, should we have heard by now?
