I've noticed a few posts on childcare/babysitting & wondered if anyone had tried kidzcare? It's a web-site &" parents swop for free", you can offer to look after children at times that you are free & you get the other parent to make time to have your children.
Everyone is listed by areas, so you find some-one close by.
I haven't done it, but if anyone was struggling it's another way of making contact with people close by who could help you out.
