Default Anyone refused a 175/136 visa

We will be submitting our RPL to the ACS in two weeks and will start on the visa application then. Just wondering if anyone was refused a 175/136 visa even though they had enough points? Getting worried about the non refundable payment!!

Considering 175/176 subclass visas have only been available for 24 days, I would hazard a guess at no. As for other visa classes, including the former 136, yes, lots of people have had visas refused for any number of reasons from failing medicals to failing the integrity checks or having a substantial criminal record.

Thanks for the reply however say an individual meets all the criteria is there a chance that the individual could be refused due to quotas etc etc.

Probably not. If the quota has been met for the financial year your application would be held over to the next year's batch. i.e. Financial year end in Australia is 30 June, so essentially your application would be held until 1 July.
