York Apartments. Try and get it on www.wotif.com.au By Wynard Station, walk to the bridge and Circular Quay.

The Menzies something other opposite Wynyard station is OK. And there is a Travelodge just around the corner which is pretty good as well. Both are 5mins to Circular Quay & Rocks and 10mins to Darling Harbour. Or if you fancy something non chain try The Lord Nelson pub / hotel in Argyle Place The Rocks.

Travel lodge, we stayed at the one near china town on wentworth street. Cheap and they let us have a travel cot in the room for Dash. Breakfasts were ok too.
Edited to say that there are two travel lodges in central sydney, both will provide a cot for your room. They also come with a microwave/fridge, kettle etc in your room.
We walked around and back to the hotel with no worries and ordered Pizza Hut to deliver at night. The hotel across the road has a Liquor store bit so we had wine and pizza in the room for tea and Dash (2 years) slept in his cot by our bed. We also bought cereal/milk etc for dash when he woke in the early hours before we staggered downstairs to breakfast.

Hiya, depends what you are after - I would suggets one of the hotels between Darling Harbour and the Casino - there is a regular ferry service from both sides of Darling Harbour which takes a very pleasant 20 minute trip and ends up in circular quay - only costs a coupld of quid each way. The hotels here are very large, nice and run by reputatble companies (chhose one of the big names like four seasons, novotel etc) so generally the standards are pretty high. I have stayed in anout 5-6 different ones in the area so if you need any particular recommendations then please let me know although (as per a previous post) I woud try websites like witif.com.au and lastminute.com.au in order to get a good deal (note that in Australia lasminute.com..au only offer deals within 28 days of the arrrival date)
Hope this is helpful
