Nothing for us. Then again I'm not expecting any.
Considering we, along with all other Australians, have obviously been grossly overtaxed I don't understand why we should not get some of it back too

Yeah I havent got anything, after all why should full time working people get something.
I mean just because we work our nuts off all the time working all day everyday, lets give it to the lazy part time or no work buggers, or give it to someone because they have popped a few kids out. They chose to have the kids, why should they get a reward for it, it simply makes no sense to me.

It does suck though. If they really want to boost the economy then they should also give it to people who have aren't stressed about money. By that I mean, you give the money to a lower income family they will likely pay off bills, save for a rainy day, etc. You give the money to someone who doesn't need it then you're more likely to get people who will go out and blow it on a nice big screen tv or something.
I just think maybe they set the income bar a bit too low to get the kind of spending they want. Plus, they're giving the money out a bit late. Most people will have already done a lot of their Chirstmas shopping, and I would hope that people didn't spend the money before they got it.

Read yesterday, sales of playstation, WII, etc went up 39% from last year on the day the bonus was first handed out, and has continued to soar since.
So much for the myth aussie kids are not into those things prefering to play cricket with oranges and the family wheelie bin instead
We dont get any either, not spending anyway, were doing a $10 a gift limit far more fun, and then you have to 'give' something too, we donated a mass of outgrown stuff to a guy at Minyama collecting for an orphanage in Kenya

I think it's the parents who are buying these, not the kids (obviously), in the hope that they will keep the family entertained on the long nights in during the coming recession
