Question anyone near ferny grove,brisbane?

Hi
Just after any info on Ferny Grove,Brisbane. We hope to be there by the end
of Jan - depending on house sale going through.
We have a friend to stay with for a few nights & then will be looking round for somewhere to rent & hubby will be looking for work, he's a mechanic.
If anyone is anywhere near there, we would love some feedback, good or bad

Also, we have 2 young children aged 20 months & 3, so any ideas on playgroups etc would be great.

Thanks & Happy New Year to everyone

Its a very popular suburb. I have a couple of english workmates who live there and they really like it. Its got a close rail link into the city. Other workmates live in the surrounding suburbs of the gap, ferny hills, albany creek and a bit further out Eaton hills and they all like it. I'm constantly reminded that I'm the loon from south of the river!

It gets hot, but then so's Cleveland and I'm 5 minutes from the water. Just make sure your plans eventually include a pool.

Trust me Sharpy, it gets a hell of alot hotter than Cleveland .

Weather Dec 2005 - Arana Hills

Weather Dec 2005 - Cleveland

Compare the number of days last month in each place that it was over 90 (& ultimately, over 100). (sorry, they are in farenheit, but it gives you an idea)

For those that can't be bothered, in Dec, Cleveland was over 90 on 8 days & over 95 once, Arana Hills was over 90 on 23 days, over 95 on 14 days & reached 100 8 times.

Huge difference .

Huge or what. I'd definately be looking for a wee pool to cool off!

Cheers
