I meant it's the coldest place in Victoria on some days. I travel through there regularly.
It is at altitude which I'm sure contributes to the temperature difference but then it might be due to the trolls that live there too.
Doesn't matter really does it? It's regularly six degrees colder than anywhere else.
Thank you, over and out.

Thanks to everyone for your advice, it would be so much easier if we didn't have the girls because we'd be able to move around easier, not that I'd ever wish them away, but I do feel guilty for pulling them out of school whenever my OH changes jobs, so I'm hoping living somewhere with a higher density of vetty jobs and people will mean that he'll eventually find somewhere he likes and we can all finally put down some roots.
Thanks again

Melbourne can't be generalized. Its a huge city (longest and widest in Australia, 120kms from Melton to Pakenham and 105 kms from Craigieburn to Mornington) and ambience changes with every suburb. Make sure you get your maths right when choosing a suburb here.

Thats what scares me. We've lived in nice areas where the neighbours dont want to know you because you weren't born there and some not so nice areas where the people could be rough but genuine and friendly. Its being lucky enough to fall on your feet first time I guess.

That's Melbourne's greater metropolitan area, not Melbourne city actual. The actual city is about 2km squared.
