Default Anyone in the Mornington Peninsula or SE Melbourne

Hi,

Looking to meet new mates in SE Melbourne. I am from Scotland and have been in Melbourne since 2005. I was in Taiwan for 3 years and my partner and I just spent a year working in Mumbai, India - so I am pretty use to the expat life. Getting back into my new job has taken up all my time and left little space for socialising and meeting new people.

I would love to come along to meet ups in the area, or meet up with people who enjoy activities on the MP (visiting wineries, beaches, markets, restaurants etc).

My partner spends 3 weeks of the month in WA working as a Safety Manager and I am flat out working for a well known Children's book and Educational publisher.

Would love to make new friends.

(Just in case anyone get's the wrong idea - as happened often on forums in India - I am looking for friendship only - with other ladies or couples.)

Jacqui

There's tons of us in SE Melbourne Jacqui, we live in Mordialloc, there's loads of posters around Bayside and down the Peninsula.

There's the occasional meet up, I'm trying to scrape one together to go for a curry at the mo....

The curry night thread is here - http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=544886

It was to be in Parkdale, but has relocated to Frankston.

August 2nd, 6pm.

It will just be me - so 1 adult. As for people getting the wrong idea - it happens alot in the asian countries - lots of sexually frustrated blokes scan the forums looking for single white chicks. Unless you specifically tell them that you do not want to talk to ANY guys they just pester you and fill up the forum with crap.

Anyway - what is the venue and time for this curry night????

Hi Jaqs, we moved to Mornington six weeks ago from Kilmarnock and hopefully we'll see you next saturday at the curry house.
Cheers

Irvine's a place I know very well. I went to Redburn primary and Ravenspark academy , a few years ago now mind you. Stayed in Dickson Drive , Castlepark and Girdle Toll over the years as well and my mum & sister still live there. Sure is a small world.
See you next week at the curry house.
Cheers and all the best

Have you been on the brilliant Britvics.org website too as they have meetups that you could go to in addition to the ones on here. We're heading out to Mornington next year, so may see you at a meet there!
