For anyone living in Sydney
Hi there.
We've recently moved here, to the south-eastern suburbs. I have a small question for anyone who's lived in Sydney before (or still does). Do you know where we can find European clothing stores?
It's just that we've been looking around, and Google gives scant information on the subject. The reason I ask for such stores is because, frankly, I'm tired of seeing the standard Made-In-China junk that is just bad quality, and made without any taste.
I know Sydney does not have a big European population (and influence) like Melbourne, but surely quality clothing exists here.
Thanks in advance!

So 'European' clothing is not produced in China?
If you are looking for designer labels, just Google the usual suspects - plenty of it to be found in Sydney.

I appreciate the quick reply. The answer to your question is: yes, certainly. But maybe I should have been clearer. Where can one find quality clothing stores (preferably Italian etc)?
Not just any designer label, but a good one. If it's not too much trouble, could you give me the names of at least a few suburbs, or the names of such stores? For some reason, Marks & Spencer doesn't exist down here...

Balmain has some really nice clothes shops but I think they are bloody expensive. I saw quite a nice long sleeved cotton top there 'produced in Europe' but it was $120!!! (didn't buy)
Most Brits I know order from M&S/Debenhams/Next/ASOS.

Am I alone in thinking that M&S produce the most deadly boring clothes known to man? Wouldnt go there for anything other than knickers and socks..
See also NEXT, but then again I'm under 40 so that might account for it...

Myers is alright in small doses. Other than that it's online from the UK or US. Everyone delivers - John Lewis' debenhams' M&S, Lewins, Pink, m and m direct for sports, lucky brand etc

Total agreement. I'm over 40 though and I can't stand either shop.

My only gripe with ordering online is that sometimes the sizes appear to be a problem...

Ummm, Europe?
Westfield Bondi Junction has 337 shops, of which 150 sell men's or women's 'fashion'.
They include
Armani Xchange,
Bally,
Karen Millen,
Ben Sherman,
Farage,
French Connection,
Hugo Boss,
Jimmy Choo,
Kookai,
Louis Vuitton,
Max Mara and many others.
If you can't find what you want there, you can't get it anywhere in the country.
