Anyone living near Burleigh Heads in Queensland?
Hi We are travelling over to Queensland at the end of August (2007) for 2 weeks in Burleigh Heads (we were also there in 2005) followed by a week in Cairns.
Any British expats wanting to arrange a meet for a quiet beer/coffee while we are in the area? They do nice cakes on James Street (Burleigh). We'll have a car so can get to Currumbin, Robina, Surfers Paradise etc. too as well as Brisbane.
Let us know...

Hi,
We would love to settle there and have fallen in love with the place.
Unfortunately, this is just a holiday but who knows - they may let us stay one day! (lol)
The last time was a recce, but the relatives can't sponsor us any more and without sponsorship I cannot get the points.
We will be in the area from around the 29th August for 2 weeks. If you are there then we could meet for a celebratory drink on your behalf.

[QUOTE=Stephen Jones;4876328]Cool
we'll give you the dates, times, places etc closer to August - ok?
Think we met at the Emigrate Show,in March and we said we would meet once you're here on the GC so include us in with the others as Burleigh is our favourite beach and we are very near. Hopefully by end of August the weather will be better than the last few days. Had a lot of rain and cold weather today, reminded me of weather in the UK, which is very unusual for here, just let us know when your meeting the others.
R U still hoping for a 457 in IT Steve?
All the best,
Sherie and Peter
