When we get there we are staying in the gold coast (currumbin) for a couple of weeks then going to start looking at area's around morningside etc
do you know where you are going to stay yet?

Thinking about Helnsvale or Coomera, although no concrete plans! We have two kids to try and get into schools as well which has a big impact on where we decide to settle.

Yes we have relatives out there and we are the same as you we have two kids (4 + 10) and we are looking at schools as well but luckily our relatives have stayed at different parts of brisbane so they will have a good idea the schools start back 29th of january after the hols

Just waiting for our visa's! House is sold, renting it till the 27th Oct, shippers are coming on the 25th, hubby finishes work on the 20th.

We too are heading for Brissie with a 4 night stopover in Singapore with Singapore Air.

we are in the process of booking shippers for the next few week so we could be flying at roughly the same time.
if we weren't so confused at the moment we would probably be able to answer your question with some more clarity.
are you stopping over in Singapore or going straight on th brissy.
we are thinking of stopping over but are unsure of the cost.
have you sent all your stuff off, and if you dont mind me asking with whom?
sorry to bombard you with questions, but i think our heads are about to explode and any help you can offer us as you seem to be further advanced than us, would be much appreciated.

We have been to Singapore before so we are just going straight through yes we have sent our stuff we used PSS who so far have been very good they wrapped everything and it was two very good packers who came
we are flying with Qantas not the cheapest but one of the better ones and we have flown with them before to aus so we have a fair bit of frequent flyer points plus this trip so our first holiday in aus is taken care of (well the flying part)
