Anyone know the Mackay schools please?
We are still considering where to head. Our daughter will need a good High School which will challenge an exceptionally able girl. I could email the schools from their web site links but would appreciate an independent opinion or two...
I am not exactly inspired by the Mackay School web sites I must say.
Anyone?
Cheers.

Hi,
We are up in Mackay, I will ask the opnions of the guys I work with about the schooling and get back to you. It has been one of those days today so it will have to be Friday's task . How old is your daughter?? and will it be a private or state school??.

Hi Mick,
Many thanks for this. My daughter is 12 but hopefully we will be over in Dec, - by then she will be 13. She will have just started Year 8 here so hopefully will start it again in Jan there. She is currently in a Private school but only really needs the type of school where other students also value achievement. I can only see denominational private schools for Mackay, that could be a problem as we are not religous.
My son is six and in a state school, I don't see any issues with his schooling as he is far more adaptable in that respect.
Any useful info on Mackay generally would also be appreciated as all we have is from the web.
Many thanks

Hi,
I have visited most of these previously, as with the majority of sites relating to Aus they are a bit "thin". Got a couple of dead links there too?
Would appreciate some "real" info.
Just sent the bond in, house on market. Dec should be possible, assuming Dimia follow through.
Cheers.

I am also in IT but am coming round to the opinion that the only thing I want to do with computers is see how good they would be at forming artificial reef building material.....
