Default anyone know about semi-rural in brissy?

I definitley am looking at brissy. I would like sort of inland. enough for maybe an acre or two. Neighbors, and yet not too crowded. Not too far from schools, shopping. Am i asking for too much? I love to run and have peaceful surroundings so I need a little bit of land. On a real estate site I saw a house with a little land in Warwick. It looked wonderful. there were neighbors yet not too close. And you could see the mountains in the background from the backyard. Oh how I want to be out there drinking my tea and looking at such beauty! Anyway... does anyone know anything about this area?
thanks...calle

Thank you for the information. I suppose I'll spend the good part of the day now checking out the suburbs.

Good luck!! You can also use www.whereis.com.au to get directions or find distances between places.

Warwick, I have been there but it was only for a day, it was drought time so quite brown, but I would imagine normally it might get quite green, lots of open land. Looked like it was a country style life, lots of jeans and boots and check shirt type people, who seemed polite and helpful. The main town is classic 50's OZ, I dont use that rudely, I mean nice straight main street with all those sideways parks , bank, pub, lots of little shops and a few bigger ones like a scaled down target. Any town like this would have to provide schools but I did not see where they were. Employment I imagine very strongly you make your own, thats just country, jobs would be limited. I think it gets pretty cold at night in winter, one of the coolest bits of QLD along with stanthorpe. If your looking for country its probably not bad, because on OZ terms its not that far from other towns.
