Anyone interested in rehousing 2 young cats?
We are heading back to blighty in a couple of weeks and need to rehome our two young cats, they are up to date with their vaccinations and tablets and are very affectionate and playful. Both are litter and house trained. Unfortunately we have my parents living with us in the uk with their dogs so taking them back is not possible.
Can anyone in the Brisbane/SE QLD area help us out or give us some advice in relation to rehousing them. We have advertised in the local press without any success, the VETS and RSPCA don't seem interested, their view is have them put down which is awful considering they are only so young. I am happy to post pics to anyone interested.

I use a cat sitter when i am away. This girl will come in and visit for 15/30 minutes as frequently as you like. She'll also sort out mail and alike. Cats will try and make their way home if they were to get out of whoever you entrust with their care. This way they dont have the upheaval of being moved.
Its hard to gauge my cats reaction since they will obviously miss you. Mine just sulked for a couple of days!

Might be worth contacting your local paper to do a story on it. Just occasionally with the right wording and cute factor pictures, a bit of publicity can do wonders for an animal looking for a loving home.
Worth a try anyway.

That's a bloody good idea! A friend of mine over here sold her house that way.
