The campervan sketch is great but just rememer that wherever you end for the night or a few days, if you have to pop out for milk, papers or condoms you have to take your 'home' with you.
We would recommend hiring a car (which is cheaper) and then either staying in cabins on campsites, or in hostels (some fab ones about these days) just make sure you pick your accomadation carefully.
Whichever you choose you will have a fab time so f**king ENJOY!!
If you want a different campervan look at the Wicked.com.au, the paint jobs are cool, every van different, and we spot them wherever we go.
BEST OF LUCK!!!

Haven't rented one myself, but you could possibly try Britz, Budget, Avis etc.

I have actually hired a campervan from Wicked Campers a couple of years ago for about 3 months, and they are great as long as you are not looking for anything remotely luxurious!! We did have one or two problems but I guess that can happen with anything you hire. We did have a great time in it though!!
