Default Anyone heard of National Homebuyers?

Hi, we have had our house on the market for a couple of months. The first people to view loved our house and put theirs up for sale in order to buy ours. They got a buyer put and offer in on ours and had survey done which come back ok. Then out of the blue they decided they did not want our house and pulled out. We have reduced considerably to get a quick sale but nothing has happened.
I have just come across national housebuyers website were you pay for a survey about £450.00 and then they make you an offer and can close the sale within 7 days. I was jsut wondering whether any had heard any reports about this company or had used them?
any comments greatly welcome because the sale of the house is what is holding us up at the moment.
We have thought about renting as well so any comments about this is welcome.

I think I have read on here before they offer about 75% of what your house is worth. Are you that desperate to sell?

Hi,

Yes, I believe some on this forum have used them in the past, but don't get your hopes up too much; the valuation they carry out is probably more akin to an open market valuation, which you can pretty much guarantee will be much lower than you want to accept.

We are trying to sell ours at the moment and the price we wish to sell at and the price the ‘buyers’ wish to buy at are miles apart.

Every buyer out there at the moment wants to get a bargain, but then doesn’t everyone?

We have decided that if it doesn’t sell at a reasonable price, we will get our visa’s authorised (once we get them, that is) and then we will just have to delay moving out to Oz, as frustrating as it would be. Either way, we are not going to give the house away just to get out there.

Ken.

Thanks for the info. I thought it was too good to be true as when you look on the website it seems too easy. We are not that desperate to sell so we will just keep waiting for the right buyer to come along. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Dont DO IT !!!!!

They are a bunch of DOOBERIES !! lol couldnt spell sharlatans heehee

Wait and Wait and be patient

Keep sprucing your home up, and market it for its true value to a buyer, not what you as a seller want for it.

We had a buyer 2 days before we flew out here, we had booked tickets , no buyer, and thought F*** it, we are off, and will just wait etc.. then these americans put an offer in, 30k less than asking, we accepted, then they dropped it another 20k 3 months after we arrived here, and 3 months later, dropped out. We found another buyer within 3 days !!

Itll cum good

We got desperate after being on the market for 9 months and got in contact with this company, our house is on at 250k and they offered us 195k we were desperate but not that desperate. Thankfully we sold for asking price a couple of weeks later
