Did any of you out there go via the STNI Vic route? If so was the application given priority, did you frontload and how long did it take?
Thankyou

We came to Victoria via the STNI route. Submittted everything to DIMIA in December 2003, we did not frontload anything, had medical and police check requests middle of Jan 04 and visas granted about 4 weeks after we returned these. The process took 3 months approx once we had submitted everything to the DIMIA. It took us months before that getting everything organised for the skills assessment though.

Everything moved very quickly once the forms were submitted to the DIMIA and once they know that you are going the STNI route.

Maybe we were just lucky that it was so quick, dont know about others experiences. Anyway good luck with everything.

WE sent cv etc on 7th Jan and got acceptance e-mail today, but have to send degree certs etc to Vetassess, bit concerned that this may take a while, as you only have 6mths (though have read someone got an extension as their assessment was taking a long time)

just gettin paranoid. our initial agent (we will change agents for visa - hopefully we will get that far!!) did not explain hours of study required for city and guilds qualifications and so husband does not meet that criteria so im worried about that. im also stressed about fact that same daft agents did not tell us to get refs and certs etc etc copied and certified 3 times so we only had them done the once. and of course my main concern is that we instructed the wrong bloody agent and we will fail TRA.

as you can probably tell, i worry about worrying and my ulcers have ulcers!!

im a total nut job.

We are going STNI to Vic and are validating at Easter. After sending the main visa it took about 7 weeks and our visas were granted so yes you go priority. Good luck
