It can't hurt to apply now - just so long as you realise rejection is likely to be about location. Anyway its only a few weeks so get applying....

Thanks Safin, I think you're right.
Now all I have to do is learn how to attach my CV to an online application.....!
Why is Clothmama in the paper? Not drunk & disorderly I trust?!!

Forecast for HBAS camping
Friday Rain 70% 5-10mm 22/26°C ESE 39km/h
Saturday Possible shower 50% 1-5mm 21/27°C ESE 31km/h
Sunday Possible thunderstorm 50%, 1-5mm 21/29°C SE 25km/h
so pretty borderline....Could find out if site willing to move booking to next week instead? Think the vote is pretty well split at last count....

Clothmama, what a feature. I love the way Joshua is 3 in the photo and aged 7 in the write up, and poor Louis he is 3 not 2, unless he keeps been telling me stories.
Ah what about wanting my autograph, I was in the Chronicle last friday saying about how stupid increase in ATM charges are, OK so it was only 2 lines ,,but it did have my photo in.
Looking forward to meeting some newbies, at this rate we will be reserving all the outside tables.

Mrs Kiwi, if you have a date for your arrival, then I'd say go for it. We applied for several jobs, but weren't taken seriously, but if you have a booked flight and date of arrival, that's different.
Have your CV etc ready as separate documents and attach when it says to do so.

Thanks Kiwinow. Hope you're doing OK in NZ - I read somewhere the other day that NZ could be the first country to recover from the recession. So you never know, you could be in HB sooner than you think.

Population surge predicted for Hervey Bay
Aparently there was an article in the Australian about a week ago where Hervey Bay was predicted to become the fastest growing city in Australia.
By 20026 the population will have doubled to 102,000 people.
In 2006 there were approx 51,000 residents and has been growing by about five percent a year, which is about 2,500 people.
Hervey Bay is currently Australia's 29th largest city and by 2026 is predicted to be the 24th largest.
Is this good news or bad what do you think?
