Anyone got anything bad to say about Hervey Bay

Re: Anyone got anything bad to say about Hervey Bay
Sorry Safin, stumps are fine! And if i ever get my house sold, my next home will probably be on stumps.
What i was trying to describe is when a house is built up ie the builder has added a little fill to the land and taken say the bricks a bit higher before the slab has been poured. So that the house is higher than the natural ground level. This way, any runoff from rain drains nicely away from the foundations of the home and doesnt just sit there. I like stumps.

Just opened Mr Safins IELTS (english test) envelope - with him on the other end of line - HE PASSED and not just passed but did so with excellent results. Don't need the points now cos we got sponsorship from QLD in the meantime but still great that he passed.
I am very proud of him! Poor darling was so worried and stressed about it too.

Yes funny how those things go out of the shops so quickly. I'm hoping we have been spared but i wont put the torches away until its all gone. Too often i've seen a cyclone down graded to a rain depression and head out to sea, only for it to intensify and slam back into the coast line. Still not panicing tho, but continuing to get things in order, backing up the computer, storing things onto disc and putting documents into waterproof containers etc.
However the priority at the moment is a trip into town (i live at dundowran beach so we're classed as out of town ) as my daughter couldnt go to work this morning so we are going formal dress shopping for her yr 12 grad at the end of the year. yah i love frock shopping. Might pick up some more milk and shove it in the freezer. hate long life and powdered stuff!
Keep watching the cylcone tracker on the BOM website people. And watch the seven local news tonight. All the camera work is done by my baby boy!!

Congratulations Mr Safin.
By the way, if anyone is looking for jobs there is suddenly quite a lot on seek.com.au in the Hervey Bay/Maryborough area, especially in the customer service and insurance fields.
Wishing I was there.

Thanks kiwinow.
I have been looking at seek.com.au every few days and there is a few on there for customer service which is the kind of job I want. However I have always been advised to wait until I am in Australia before applying as they don't take you seriously otherwise.
What do you reckon?
