If you have enough points to go it alone i would go it alone.

Our assuror let us down last minute due to personal reasons (cold feet basically) and we had to start over. We had enough points to go independant in the first place, but chose sponsored cos they said it would be quicker!

Hi Jackie

We went sponsored route because we were also told that it was quicker, and it was 10mths including TRA hold up.

Many assurers/sponsors are fine on paper, but like a lot of people do not have the cash flow to lodge the appropriate bond amount, and this can cause worry/embarrassment. so alot of people transfer the money out to oz to the assurer/sponsor, for them to lodge as the bond money, might this help you in putting their minds at rest (sorry if you have already thought of this).

Good luck, the nice thing is that you have a choice, good position to be in
