Hi Maxpaxx
We are also hoping to be in Perth September 2004, wanting to rent initially around Joondalup. Great to catch up once we are there.

We're going to Perth in September too (hopefully - our house sale just fell through!!!!!). We don't know anyone in Perth either so it would be great to get together with other people in the same position.

We are open to ideas on that front! definately thinking coastal at this point. We have just been reading an interesting article on 'Golden Bay' and the undervalued property in that area. It's been predicted to boom with the possibility of a rail network so thats interesting. We have booked a house in Subaciao for the first 3 weeks so thats pretty central.
What about you guys?

so many great places, hard to decide but we will stay with friends in Butler when we arrive, also have friends in Carramar and others arriving after to Northern suburbs who are originally from there so we will stick to that part. Subaciao is a great happening place to live, good choice to start as near city too, has great markets there.
Keep in touch and looks like will have to have an expats meet in Sept

I work in Butler & live not far away. There's still a lot of building going on up there but it's looking good. Beach side - Jindalee is now selling so lots more building. They're working on extending Marmion Ave up there now & that'll go through to Yanchep in the not too distant future.

Chap at work went into the land sales office at Butler and was told that there is 12 years of building still to be done there.

We're hoping to be in Perth in September/October, if DIMIA get a move on. We've got friends in Como and cousins in Mount Hawthorn. Hubby is an engineer - could go into structural or mining (if we're desperate) so we will be looking to live where the work takes us.
