The Jacksons

We visited Palmwoods over Easter and liked it. It has a bit of a trendy reputation at the moment and we thought that the prices were a little more than other areas close by. Its quite a small place but they have got a new development going up called Old Orchard which we had a look at. You buy the plot and chose the house you want basically - most plots around $a100,000+ depending on the size of the plot - they start at around 700sqm up to around 1000sqm. We looked at a completed house on the market for $~250000 which was on 700sqm block (felt a little on the small side) and was a 3 bed bungalow slab built home. We liked the house but decided we would not want to be on a new estate (a bit like Ramsey St). They had built in a lake and park land with the required bbq area - the land sales go very quickly so you`ve got to be around when new land is released - they do it a bit at a time. Palmwoods does have older properties for sale which were reasonable prices and we did like the village/small town - nice primary school near to the new houses too.
Can`t tell you much more I don`t think - give us a shout if I missed anything!

we would be looking at an old house with land seen some on the web that hubby (joiner) can do up.

It has the rail link to Brisbane though and seems to be nice in the country,

Any other areas around the Sunshine Coast you could recommned us looking at
