Default Anyone flying out to Brisbane April 18th Manchester

Hi Guys,

Only just got into the forum, found it a few weeks ago but been busy sorting out the house for when we got the visa - which we got a couple of weeks ago....

Anyway... just wondered if anyone from here is flying out to Brisbane on the 18th April from Manchester - think its a 10am flight with Singapore?

Cheers

Hi Guys,

You all probably going to think we are insance, but no, this is our emmigration flight - weve never even been to Oz before!!!

I did say to my wife last year shall we go for a holiday first, her response was "No, i cant be anyworse than the UK" lol.

So we are going with suitcases only, spent the last 2-3 months selling everything on ebay - which has turned out to be very profitable to say the least, as we have not only saved on shipping costs but also now have a big chunk of money to spend on all new stuff when we get there.

All we have sorted at the moment is the flights, a hire car for 2 weeks, and a 1 week booked in the Hyatt at Coolum (we have some Ozzie friends who said just take a weeks holiday first and chilll out and get over the jet lag etc)

Do you think we are mad?

James

That's what we're doing too!

Didn't seem worth it, to pay thousands of quid to ship things over that we can easily replace there (no ming or louis XV in our family!), and without the worry of it getting lost or damaged. Also, it's gonna be good fun kitting out a new gaff

Fresh start n'all that.
