On that subject, apply for a BMI Mastercard from MBNA and you'll get 20,000 BMI miles once you have spent £250 on the card; then apply for the BMI premium card for £80 fee and get a further 20,000 miles. Get your DH to do the same. Then you'll have 80,000 miles to start with. :D

Personally I'd spend the extra cash on a seat for the little one and take a car seat. I don't see flying as that much pleasure any how. We all get dehydrated feel jet lagged. I can't think of anything worse than paying all that money and not getting the benefit because of the kids.

Be warned if you ask for a cot for the little one they might have to split your seating arrangements up to make way for more babies on the front row. We lucked out on the way here and got the whole bulkhead to ourselves. We had loads of room. Our 1 and 2 year old crashed out in their car seats for practically the whole second leg and guess what mum and dad did.... slept!!!! We used this gadget to get the kids around the airport to www.toteatot.com

Hoping to visit UK next year and our youngest will be just over 2 so going to leave the car seats this time. (There again I might take just the one as I can't see him sitting that still)

Good luck with your decision. Try not to stress too much about it. Its never as bad as it seems and its only 24 hours.
