Anyone fancy a bbq southside?
Hi we are new to Brissy and don't know a soul.Anyone out there fancy meeting up at a park or somewhere for a bbq, drink etc.We are a family of 4,kids 11 and 12.They have taken to calling us Billy(as we don't know anyone)They are ok they have all their friends at school, but it is becoming a bit boring to say the least.

Not quite what you were asking for but if you fancy a night out and can abandon the kids, then have a look at

Think Beccy means as in "Billy no mates". Best option for a kids and adults park meet up is usually to organize it for the lagoons/parkland at Southbank then you have food, drink and water all handy.
If they've got no mates who's going to look after the kids, Jack hasn't spread his babysitting service Southside yet?

Lucky you lot
I can't remember the last time we went out without the kids.We lived in France before we came here, and everyone was in the same boat,so the kids just came with us all the time. The good thing is they have really good social skills now.My parents never did any socialising like we have with the kids.I hope they do the same with their kids.
I also would love 1 night out at least, before we are too old, maybe next time though pollyanna. When we actually know someone that could babysit
Thanks for all the replies
