We have just changed our agent and gone with re-max.......they definately seem to be more pro-active and actually SELL your house whereas some of the other agencies don't really push your property enough for you.

With the markets current state it is unlikely it's gonna sell in a few weeks anyway so get it up soon so hopefully by the time you get everything passed you should also be well on the way to selling as well.

Fingers crossed for you.

Hi caroline
I would put house up for sale as soon as you can, we waited till feb, thought there would be a lot of interest and its been slow. I know what you mean about putting it up, but at least if you get visa you will be in the position to go, not like us we have the visa, and cant get house sold, even if we do sell it will probably be not all sorted before we go anyway.
What about your husband is he going for his test soon tell him good luck.

Hi
Is anyone hoping to nurse when they go out to Australia? Has most people family and friends in Australia? If we were going out we would be on our own knowing no one. If it was not for leaving my parents I would be away but they are getting on now and I know how they were when we went to San Diego.

we didnt go anywhere, fed up like yourself, I cleared some crap from our house to sell the house, mark put all out in shed, even put some of my good stuff, probably loads of mice on them now. I started putting some things on ebay, there is so much to do, so little time.
Does any body know where there is a good car boot sale, that a lot of people go to?
I had a glass of wine today just go for it caroline, It wont be long, once darren gets test done get on the ball straight away and apply.

Hi All, ok we are not N. Ireland can rep. people hop on board. We have been living in Co. Meath for 10 yrs, UK before that and now want to go to OZ, just come back from our reccie trip to Brisbane/Gold Coast, which we hadn't planned on taking but because visa was going to expire on March 8th we had to in the end. Although it is a costly trip it is worth doing because nothing is as it seems until you get there. We liked some suburbs of Brisbane a lot but settled on a suburb North Gold Coast simply because its beautiful but also got a lovely school organised for the two youngest although I don't know at this stage if we will ever get there as our house has been up for sale 8 months now and no valid offers yet (two offers quite good but these people also have to sell house and they have no offers at all in 8 months). We also have neighbours who are selling and they have dropped price 30,000 below us so setting a precadent for rest of us (understandbly desperate though as they have their new house built and ready to move into). Without house sale we just can't go, have checked out rental option but EA says there is oversupply of properties for sale in area by people who can't sell so no go there either. Anyway don't want to be all doom and gloom, April/May are meant to be best months to sell so fingers crossed. Great listening to all your stories and hope everyone is successful soon in securing Visa. Marie & Co.
