I'll also be going on my own. Yes it's sometimes a bit of a worry but hoping that I'll meet people quickly. I don't want to be sat in an apartment all lonely and feeling sorry for myself.

There are loads of us that go it alone. In fact we had a whole thread devoted to our lonesome travels to help us all out with the scariness of it all. Good news is, some of us on that thread are no longer alone since we got here!

I'll dig the thread out for you - you can maybe revitalise it and create a new era of "loners" !

Good thread! Only skimmed a lot of it for now, but a lot of people in the same boat (or were then, at least) and making a go of it. Great to see.

Appears that the thread is closed now, so it looks like I am guilty of starting a new one.

Anyway, that thread was sooooo last decade.
