Default For anyone depositing a bond!

Been here two years now and got back the $5000 bond. After bank charges the amount that we got back was $5020!!!

I can't believe the charges bit. It's not as though the cash has been stuffed in a matress. The bank has used it.

By bro asked if the money had been in a normal savings account we would have got 7 %.

I don't know why all bank employees are asked to wear a Dick Turpin outfit!

$20 better of in far east Victoria!

If it works the same as the bond for a contributory parent then they should of done, as its a bond (which is really a term deposit account) the interest cant be credited to the same account as the bond, it has to go somewhere else (ie a normal savings account held by the assurer) The assurer has to declare it on their self assesment to the tax office at the end of the year and pays tax on it. So the actual interest at the end of it can be only just over half in some circumstances.
