I was originally looking at Gold Coast/Brisbane area - however, worried like everyone about work although still 12 months away. What is the work like in Cairns? OH a joiner and Im a secondary teacher - if one of us could work that would be fine for a while.

What is Cairns like opposed to Gold Coast/Brisbane? I am about to start my research on Cairns. G/Coast looked great for us as a family outdoor activities etc as my two are 3 and 6. Would Cairns offer the same?
