Anyone bought and land on the Sunshine Coast and planning the build
Hi,
Just wondering how many people are planning to build a house on the coast? there are so many going up at them moment, we decided to buy a house as we saw our friends go through so much hassle with builders etc. So we knew we had to renovations ourselves.
If you are building have you picked a builder yet ? What stage are you at?
As it been easy? Hard ? Smooth ? Different ?
Would be good to share your stories for those who are moving over and considering a building project ?

I suppose, self build falls into 3 categories...
Buy a Block+House package and very little involvement..
Buy Land, then Get a Builder and have good involvement..
Or Buy Land, Owner Build.. and well.. reach for the VB !

Hiya luv,
We are doing very well, baby is nearly 9 months old, I have been on mat leave for a while now and getting bored, I am due back in the middle of December. back to the big commute to Brissy, although I have never minded it. We have had family over all year and the hardest part was when my mum just left. But is was out choice to sacrifice family for lifestyle. They are considering moving over on a contributory parent visa now.
How are you ?

Went with a chap called Terry Beavis, would highly recommend him. He does not have houses in the display home areas but he is local to the caloundra area, he has built in Pelican, Ivadale lakes, Bellvista and other areas, the good thing with him is he does not sub the work out to others that he does not know, he uses small teams of brickies, chippies etc so he can keep an eye on the quality.
