That's our plan - hoping to exchange on house this week - fly 5th June but going to NZ on way out for a holiday - we figure stress before we leave - stress as we arrive- have a nice holday in the middle!!!

Planning on landing in Perth either 26/27 June.

Staying with family in Morley to start with and then looking in Hocking area?

Hi there, not long for you then! Weve got a short term rental booked in Leeming for the first month, weve never been to Perth so going to have a good look around at areas....cant wait now!!! Have you been to Perth before

We're intending to fly on the 26th June, but stop off for 4 days in Singapore on the way. Should be there roughly the same time as you guys though.

We don't know yet. We've never been to Perth before and don't know anyone, but life's meant to be an adventure! We'll stay in a hotel for the first few days and drive around the areas to find an area we like before renting. Rockingham looks lovely from piccies, but not sure if it's too far from Perth CBD to commute. Probably looking North of the river to settle.

We'll be arriving on the 17th of June. We'll be staying in Rockingham with relatives till we find our own place. We've been to Perth quite a few times and love it there. We're hopefully going to settle south of the river (around Melville, Ardros, etc. if we can still afford it). Although I love Rockingham and my mother-in-law lives in a perfect location, it's just a bit too quiet for us. I remember going out to a restaurant on the sea front for a meal at 9 pm and was told that the kitchen was closed 'cause it was too late but we could order just drinks. That was two years ago so don't know if it's changed now. Although I love the slower pace of life I do need a bit happening around me. I know I'm babbling now but will just mention some of the things we did do whilst there. The outdoor cinema at Kings Park is great. People were turning up with their bean bags/ rugs, picnic baskets, etc and having picnics under the stars watching a movie. Also, the kids loved the outdoor theatre show 'Peter Pan' where everyone turned up with their picnics to watch the show and at the end Peter Pan and the rest of the crew chatted to the kids. My daughter was so thrilled she met Peter Pan There is loads to do there as long as you get off your a#%^$ and do it. Good luck with the move guys and see you there. Can't wait.

I stayed in Leeming the first time I went to Perth - didn't really get much of a look round Leeming but seemed quite a quiet suburd - but that was in 1998!

We've been a few times now - last time being validation in September - well done just going for it without having been there - life is an adventure as you say - best of luck!!

Hi guys
we are hoping to arrive in Perth first week in July. Not booked flights yet as house sale was only confirmed on Friday, so as soon as we booke some removers we will book some flights! Can't wait but now I am also starting to feel pretty nervous. Here we are taking our families to the other side of the world where we have no friends, no family, no where to stay. :scared: ......but we love an adventure!

it is a scary thought but exciting too...may bump into a few of you then.....well have to arrange a meetup if were in a simular area, cant wait to meet new friends, its got to be a lot easier to settle in that way
