We're from Sheffield too but leave for Oz in 5 weeks so don't know about a meet, depends on time.

Just a quickie to say that a meet around Leeds/Wakefield/huddersfield would be better for us as we will have Jonah & the new baby who will be less than 6 wks at 10th Sept.

BTW: Lindsey......... I am dying to know if I will meet you "early" when I have the baby! LOL Who would have thought that I would meet someone who "could" be looking after me in hospital on BE???? Small world! LOL

We are in Leeds, and also have young kids which makes us a bit inflexible. Maybe there are enough folks to merit 2 meets, one in Sheffield, one in Leeds/Wakefield? That way the social types could enjoy 2 outings

Anyhow, we would be interested in a meet.

cheers,

Ian and Lou

Hi
I would be so keen for a meet - we have just moved out of Yorkshire to NE Lincs, near Grimsby, but given I grew up in Hudds, consider myself a true yorkshire girl! Meet location can be anywhere for us - when you live so far East, it takes an hour to get to the M1 / A1 to go anywhere! I like the shopping idea at White Rose, but don't think hubby and sons will!!!

Yay, Sunny Sheffield here too.
Well, recently skipped over the border to North Derbyshire (Dronfield) but still near enough.

That's come around quick.
Think I'd be bricking it if I were you. In a good, exciting way of course.
All the best to you.

Hi there, I am actually going away on holiday tomorrow for a week, so anyone who is interested in the meet at The White Rose (pub) on the 10th September, pm me so I have an idea of numbers and hopefully we can get together then, say 4pm ish. If anyone woulb prefer different date/venue then also let me know.

We can talk all day to our hearts content about oz without people yawning! and lots

We are in the Midlands at the moment but in about a month's time we become "of no fixed abode" and will mostly be alternating between Chester and Bridlington. So we may be able to make a meet. We are heading for Perth in October.

We went to a Leeds meet a few weeks before Xmas last year. Maybe it was the appeal of getting away from Xmas shopping but we attracted people from as far away as Peterborough, Newcastle, Blackburn and Warwickshire by making it a double of Saturday night / Sunday arvo.

Seems that two meets would be a good idea especially as sue dosen't drive. how the hell do you manage with the twins and no car?!

what about meadowhell (the pub) for and chat mid to late september when all holidays are finished? would be quite a good venue for donny, rotherham and sheffield don't you think?

good luck for those of you who'll be gone before then..... you lucky buggers

...... I use the extremely cheap and reliable public transport system we are lucky enough to enjoy in sheffield

Just to set the record straight - am getting some strange pm's. The meet I am trying to organise will be in the pub called the white rose, it has a wacky warehouse, NOT in the shopping centre. If someone wants to organise a meet closer to Sheffield we would be up for that too. Can never talk about oz enough and its so nice to meet people. So like I said earlier drop me a pm if interested in going to Leeds and put our names down for Sheffield one too. Just give me a bit of notice with dates as both myself and husband work shifts so have to book day off.

Speak soon

Yes its a daytime thing probably 4pm onwards in a pub that has facilities for those of us who have children. I'm hoping might leave mine with grandma for the afternoon. Last meet went to lasted well into the evening, so if you are a family/ single/couple all will be welcome. The food in there is ok too
