Got crown out for quote. Like the idea that they have a branch in Melbourne , so no sub concontractors would be used and communication direct to them etc, but they said they are not the cheapest for 40ft container, but service seems good. Has anybody used them or recommend them.

thanks

We used them and chose them for the exact reasons you mentioned.
Our stuff is due into Brisbane on the 17th July.
So far we have been really impressed with the level of personal sevice they have provided & would rec'd them 110%.

I'm about to use them, but only for shipping some boxes over, nothing as large as a container.
They were the cheapest quote by far...

we used them and had no problems-everything arrived intact with no damage, only thing was it took longer to get here than expected but prob just because we moved here rather than the mainland.

We have chosen Crown to do our shipping. Their quote was about the same as all the others and they pricematched the insurance (3.5%). We went with them as they have a very good reputation and they do everything door to door themselves without using subcontractors. I hope my faith in them will be justified!

Its all sounding good guys, thats for info. I have doree Bonner out next thursday so will let you know , what we decide , it will be one of the other , dependant on the spandoolies. I dont think crown were offering the shortest time, but still like the direct idea.

thanks

Used Crown b4 they are good when it comes to packing and communication. The downside was they will unpacked big items, and if you leave small items to unpacked later ,they charge a fee to collect boxes.
Make sure you unpack as much boxes as possible.

GoodLuck

Yes used Crown 2 years ago to come to Perth. Excellent no problems at all.
I'd recommend them no worries.

We used them. Their quote was not the cheapest but they reduced it to match John Masons quote. They were great, no breakages, very helpful.

We chose them and bartered them down a bit because they weren't the cheapest

Happy with the service right through Absolutely nothing broken, though we're convinced a couple of things didn't arrive. Bizzare thing is that these things were individual items from different boxes and none of our boxes got opened An example is 1 bed-side lamp from a pair so we're pretty sure it wasn't because they were taken or anything, we must have just misplaced them in the UK. Still weird ......

We had a very similar experience recently. Excellent service with one exception (and that was the fault of one of the UK packers) but we also had a few items not arrive. Although we can't guarantee they were actually packed, we are convinced they were in the house on packing day and the house was empty when the packers left. Strange things like 2 x-box controllers went astray but the x-box turned up. Again very weird.

Our problem was that we'd had a lot of stuff in storage in 3 different places for 9 months. Nothing has turned up in those places since so it's just plain weird.
