I may be wrong, but I think Alan Collett, the immigration agent who posts on BE, lives pretty close to Torquay.

Alan is in Geelong which is less than half an hour away from Torquay. Torquay is 'surfsville' the warmer part of the year and 'retirees/commutersville' 12 months of the year. A pleasant place close to Bell's Beach, one of the world's premier surfing venues.
