What do you do you and your wife do job wise Andy, are you going through the TRA, done it? Or are you applying via a different route?
Have you been over there before?

I run the family timber business but have had TRA passed as Carpenter/joiner. Hoping to set up same sort of business in Oz if poss. We are pre July 04 and hopefully should hear about our visa within the next few weeks. Wife is a fully registered child minder by the way but couldn't use her trade as well as she hasn't done it for a couple of years due to the fact that we kept having more children of our own, we have finally stopped now at 5 children. How about you and your wife? Andy

I'm surprised DIMIA allow you Celtic mobsters to get your hands on a visa. Can't be many true Cornish left over there so I would want to vet your credentials very carefully.

Better warn customs to check your baggage......bound to try smuggling in a pasty or saffron bun.

Australia is said to be years behind the UK so you should all go to Queensland which is said to be years behind Australia........should make you feel at home.

I suppose you are descendants of miners or farmers or fishermen........well what else is there in Cornwall ? Other than emmits, empty holiday homes and some geeser with a big greenhouse.

Tell you what maties.........from what I've seen, you'll blend in just fine.

Originally from Plymouth and Redruth, moving to Perth in 6 weeks!

We were in Falmouth over the weekend, had a great meal with friends in the steak restaurant opposite Trago - Pippas or something?

oo arr. pasties, i will be bloody glad to get away from em. the good thing about living in cornwall is that, in general we don't have to worry too much about the drop in wages in Oz compared to here as we down ere are still on 1970's rates. Andy
