Any upcoming Northern Perth meets or people looking to meet others?
Hi all,
We've been here nearly a year now and have been mega-focussed on sorting out our new lives - jobs, kids (including having one while here), and now fancy meeting a few people to try to create a slight social network - as much as having two kids under two will allow.
We've purposely stayed away from meet ups etc so far while we sorted ourselves out but the appeal of barbie gatherings etc now summer has returned is growing and growing.
We're based near Joondalup and wondered if ther were others in the same boat as us that were looking to meet new people.
The wife and I are both around 30 and as mentioned we have two kids under 2. We're pretty laid back and enjoy our family time and most of our weekend time is spent entertaining the kids in whatever outdoor activities we can find.
Cheers
Matt
P.S. I read the 'perth night out' and 'currambine' meets threads but unfortunately night outs aren't really a common option (though possible on occasion), and the mid-week daytime meet ups for the parents with little kids is also not poss as we both work full-time (I envy your meet ups in Neil Hawkins park mid-week!)

Yeah, Put us down for a meet up. We have been here for nearly3 months. We are housesitting so are all over the place but are happy to travel. No kids yet and not massive drinkers hence difficulty in meeting many people!

Otherwise, I think you're doing the right thing: posting on BE and setting up your own meeting So what do you have planned on the 3rd?

I was about to suggest the Hillarys meetups, but then saw your comment about working fulltime. I think there will probably be another Kings Park meeting in the next month or so; that'd be worth going to.

We live opposite a little park called Dellamare Park in Banksia Grove (near Joondalup/Wanneroo) which has a play area for kids, bbq, etc. It's a very nice little park, all new and clean/safe etc.
Anyone who fancies it at 10:30 on Saturday 3rd is more than welcome. We live right opposite it so we should stand a good chance of claiming the area for ourselves.
I invited those who responded to this thread, but anyone at all is welcome. We're keen to meet others, so the more the merrier.
We live at*********, Banksia Grove and as mentioned the park is directly opposite. There is parking available opposite our place too.
Anyone who's coming, just let me know. PM me or respond on here. Can PM you my phone # too if you want it.
Cheers
Matt
