Any thoughts of Bracken Ridge, Brisbane
Hi, We will be moving to Brisbane around December/January. Husbands work will be in Geebung, north of Brisbane. We wanted to base ourselves not far from Geebung but wanted a good family area too. I have been looking at Bracken Ridge area. Looks a good area and school looks good. Any info would be very welcome many thanks Nicky

we have just returned from a holiday to Brisbane and stayed with some friends who live in Geebung, they have been there about 8yrs now, schools seem good, very near chermside for shopping, there is an RSL, few local shops and parks, - not fancy living there??? Also on the train line so easy to get into the city.

Hi - I live in Bracken Ridge!
It's OK - mix of older and newer housing, local shops and easy access to transport. State schools, the better one is in the next suburb, Bald Hills or there is a Catholic primary and an Anglican private school nearby.
Train station at Bald Hills is handy. Reasonable priced housing/rentals.
Feel free to ask any questions.

Hi,
Doing research on areas. Have already asked about Albany Creek, and then saw that your in Cashmere, another of the ones we have been looking at aswell as Warner. We are coming over in September with 2 kids 4 and 14. Any info on houses, schools etc would be really appreciated.

There are pre schools, primary schools and a High School in Albany Ck, no schools in Cashmere but Eatons Hill primary & Bray Park (state) are close, so is Genesis Christian College and St Pauls Anglican (P-12, both private).
Nice big park in Cashmere, Lake Samsonvale too and plenty of little parks and playgrounds all around.
Feel free to ask any more questions.

I know it's crazy isn't it - never seem enough hours in the day. Was hoping to meet Timberfloor too sometimes but he's a bit further away now and doesn't seem to be on here anymore. Must go to a meet-up one day.
