Just completed my MA in Social work. Looking at the AASW requirements. A bit mind boggling. I hope I meet them.
Are salaries similar to those in the UK and is there work in all areas?
Any more advice and info would be helpful.

I have also been trying to research salary info/job opportunities for Social Workers in Australia (I don't qualify 'til next year )

I have been looking at websites offering general information but I'd also love to hear from someone with actual experience of working in Social Work in Australia.

My general understanding is that salaries are slightly lower for Social Workers in Australia than in the UK (although this may be completely inaccurate as I still live in the UK).

I have found some semi-useful websites which I'll list below but not sure if I'm allowed to provide links to other sites so if they're removed by the mods PM me and I can provide the info again. As I say these sites provide general info and actual experience would be far better:

The 4th link (queensland gov website) I believe its the 'Health Practitioners Stream' you should be looking at (HP1) but not 100% sure
