Default Any Scots up for celebrating Burns night

Hi there, my hubby has just asked me to post this.

Any one interested in a Burns Nights meet next Sunday 25th Jan ?

It's would be Rabbies 250th birthday and will be celebrated all over the world. We could have a meet up and a few drinks, maybe a wee bit o haggis and a few Burns poem recitals if any volunteers.

Ricky is also trying to find someone local who plays the pipes !

It may lead to future Scottish nights.

Nothin formal arranged as yet but we can meet at Wallace's bar on Chevron Sunday night around 7pm .

He's in talks with the owners at the bar to see what we can do.

It would be great to meet up with fellow Scot's, been here nearly a year now and loving it.

PS. If there are any other Burns celebrations already planned, please let us know.

Sharon on behalf on Ricky xx

Hi Sharon

I'm sorry you didn't get much interest in this thread. I only just saw it myself today. Not your fault.
I had a terrible time trying to find haggis yesterday. Everyone I asked looked at me as if I had 2 heads. In the end we had tatties, neeps and sausage rolls that had lamb instead of pork.
Next year I'll have to be more organised and find a butcher that does do haggis (or go back to Scotland and try to catch one of the little b.....s myself!
