Default Any recommendations for Gold Coast Holiday Stay?

Not for me but my cousin is coming over for a reccie at the end of June with his wife and daughter (she's 7). They're just about to apply to TRA so are at the very beginning of the process (God love them!) He wants to sell the GC to the family (especially his daughter!) so wants a proper holiday rather than staying with us When we first came on hols back in 2003 we stayed at the Sofitel in Broadbeach, which I would recommend and when we arrived to live last year we stayed with my brother, so didn't need anywhere. Cous was looking for somewhere more like an upmarket complex (central or southern gc to be nearer us) that would have other kids there rather than a big hotel. I'll do a search for him as well, but would prefer recommendations from anyone on here that have actually stayed in places?

Hi There

I have family on the Gold Coast and when I have been out there many time's lol, the sanctuary beach resort on teemangum street in Currumbin/Tugun is very nice its on the beach www.sanctuarybeach.com.au there are local bus's all along the Gold Coast Highway 24/7 if I remeber right!! which is good if you want to have a few drinkies.

It is also opposite the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctaury, Surf Clubs and about 10 mins from Jupiters Casino, if you go in the other direction you go into Coolangatta and that's the border to QLD and NSW its quiet funny 1 side of the roundabout you are in QLD drive to the other side and you are in NSW.

Where ever they stay I am sure they will adore the GC.
