That pie shop in front of the Navy base at Woolloomooloo (sp?) claims to have the best pies in the world. They have obviously never had a Pooles pie. Or a Pimmies for that matter. Alas poor JP Pimblett - I knew his pies so well!
Anyway, Wigan will get trounced on Good Friday. Super Saints all the way!

Went back to 'Tellins for 4 days in October and was most disappointed by the Birchalls I got. My favoutire is now Yates & Grear - something to do with the jelly I think.

Don't know if you heard but some one in "Tellins started making Pimmies pies again. Never could beat that pepper for real heartburn. My favourite is pork pie, but can only get them from Patchets pies when Coles, Woolies and some of the deli's have them.

I resorted to going to Waterfields in Fingerpost, not bad on a buttered barm but still not quite the same. And its gotta be Melton Mowbrays for me! Love a good pork pie I do!

I went back in October too - was most depressing to see the bakery on College Street all boarded up.
I resorted to going to Waterfields in Fingerpost, not bad on a buttered barm but still not quite the same. And its gotta be Melton Mowbrays for me! Love a good pork pie I do!
