She doesn't want to leave her friends here in Ireland. Even though she has no choice but to come, her not wanting to doesn't help with the stress levels!....it's stressful enough trying to sell the house and moving to the other side of the world.

Get her to check out the teenage part of this. Maybe she'll get in contact with others in the same boat

HI all,

With regard to moving your life top OZ.

Are there many restrictions on the kind of items that you can bring with you.

For instance, I am a keen fisherman, would I be able to bring all my equipment with me.

also I have a lot of gardening equipment that I would like to bring, Some of it is very old and of persoanl value to me.

I am sure I have other questions to ask on this subject.

Thanks for your help

Regards

Once the gardening tools are free from soil, etc. you should be fine. That guy I recommended will go into (lots of) detail into what you can/can't bring.

Basically, nothing organic such as food, plants, untreated wood, or anything that may have traces of soil. Its to do with the stuff they spray in the containers etc.

Great news. Geelong Gent has given me the name of a company who can deliver from the Aussie side - think it was Kent. Will let you know later.

Just found this thread (Hi IG) - was wondering how many of us logging on were Irish and knockoffnige sent me in this direction.

I have been V lazy and have only read the first and last three pages - so forgive me if I'm asking you stuff you've already answered - but where are we all from - and where are we going ?

Irish Gal and I are Melbourne bound - and according to nige that's where you're going too Mairead.
