Any nurses working in OZ?

Hell there,

I was wondering if any nurses working in Oz could give me an insight into what it's like. I currently work 12 hour shifts in NICU (nenonates) but am also general trained.

We're hoping for Brisbane and would like to hear any information you may have about this and other areas.

Many thanks

Ginny

Interesting thread Ginny - would be useful to know a bit more about nursing in Oz - my interest is mainly in renal, particularly haemodialysis services... hopefully off to Adelaide.

Loads of jobs (I know even though I'm in NZ - all the journals here are full of Ozzie
jobs). Salaries are about $50K + for staff nurses, tend to be higher in Sydney.
Everywhere has a hospital - try looking on
www.seek.com.au

NZ is equally desperate for nurses - if either of you want a job....
