Any info on Lake Macquarie or Singleton area?
Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about living in Lake Macquarie, NSW? I did a search but couldn't find a whole lot.
My husband is a mining engineer and at this point we're looking at the Lake Macquarie or Singleton area. Any information at all would be helpful. I'm also wondering if it's possible to live along the West side of Lake Macquarie and work in the mines by Singleton, I'm not sure how long of a drive that would be though.
If anyone else knows of some nice areas where there is mining nearby please let me know. At this point we're not interested in doing fly in fly out, so the mines would have to be under an hour away from where we live.

Hi Haley,
Lake Macquarie is a lovely area just outside of Newcastle so do a search on Newcastle and you might have more luck. The only website I know about is www.stickybeek.com.au and they only have a little bit of information but it might help a bit. PM me if you need specificis.
