Any help appreciated...
Hi, I'm new to this site but reading other peoples threads seems I can get answers to alot of my questions/worries here.
I am waiting for a company sponsorship in Sydney and have no idea how much its going to cost me to move from the UK? How much does it cost to ship a container? I've heard that you can rent half of one which is all I would need - anyone got any clues as to how much that will cost?
We have somewhere to stay with friends until we find somewhere to rent but is there any other major costs we should consider?
Also - my de facto partner (a plasterer) will be looking for work once we arrive - he doesn't have his qualifications signed off as he hasn't been plastering for the full 6 years required, will he be able to get work?
How much can a plasterer expect to earn in Sydney?

Costs of leaving your current accommodation (pay off gas, electric, sell house, rent etc)
Air fares (about £600 - £700 each economy class)
Cars when over there
Cost of setting up new house (paying for things in advance)
Potential loss of income for a while from partner until he finds a role/proves his skill.
