Any H&S Officers coming to Perth?
Hi guys
We've been here 9 months and hubby has finally got the job he's been waiting for, after notching up casual experience for an agency. That's very much the way to get into H and S in Aus so if anyone wants more advice or contact details for his old agency, feel free to pm us and we will try to help.
A word of warning, some work is nights or away from Perth; if you can put up with a few months of inconvenience you'll find it's worth it and pays well. Once you have Aus experience you'll find employers are more likely to look at your CV; when we first got here it was disheartening as people weren't that interested... once he'd done a few months here the job offers all seemed to come at once.
Hubby's old agency contacted him yesterday, to ask if he knows anyone who can work nights 30 mins south of Perth - confined space/ rigging experience $50/hour 12 hours per night for 10 months. There are often other jobs for the right experienced and qualified people, so it may be worth passing your details on to the agency even if the position mentioned isn't for you.
