Hi,

We have two toddlers and find that eating out is one of our pleasures, not always because of the food but more that we don't have the mess and clearing up.

Do you know of any great places to eat out with the kids in the Perth area? We've got our sat nav maps so hopefully we can find pretty much anything.

Went to a good Mexican place in Fremantle (Zapatas, so I'm told) for lunch last Sunday. They did kiddie meals AND had 2 women doing crafts and stuff with the kids www.cater4kids.com.au

Fish and Chips at Fremantle's Ciccerello's is fantastic - they have a big salt water fish tank with loads of fish, sharks, starfish, sea urchins etc. keeps the kids fascinated. Don't get scared by the crowds the line moves very quickly and we've always found a table to sit at. Food's yummy too. You can have fish and chips in paper, or a cooked meal etc.

Seriously advise you not to bother with Sizzlers. Absolute crap and it's usually filthy.

Try Freo, they have lovely cafe's and bistro's everywhere. Or there's Subiaco and Northbridge. Early evening in both is great.

If you're NOR try Hillary's Boat Harbour. A bit touristy but Portofino's is great for food and we've seen lots of families eating in there.

Never actually been to Sizzlers myself, but my daughters friends all seem to love it there. The place is always packed when we drive past so they must be doing something right !
As someone posted before the Hogs breath cafe is very good ! We went last week & the kids meals were very nice, & the service is great.

what Sizzler's does right is 'all you can eat buffets" cheaply, which brings all the big eater's in.

Just thought of another one actually ! the Stringy bark ( bistro i think ) its actually the restaurant attached to the Wannaroo tavern ! We had a really nice meal last week there. If you go on a Tuesday the kids eat free !!
It gets busy so make sure you book.

yep, cicerella's in Freo is good and you can go to Baskin Robbin's for ice cream afters. From memory there is also a wee play area in the park just over the road

Try Siennas In Leederville. Italian food, children friendly, and with a play area for when they get bored and you want to get rid of them. I think pasta and pizza is cheap Monday - Wednesday.

Clancys Fish Pub in Freo is very popular as it does reasonable food and has a large park out the back so the kids can play....and of best of all it's a pub!!
