any gp's out there?
Currently looking for gp work? Just wondered if anyone had info on going rates for income and leave etc?
Is 60% of billing the norm? What is the minimum someone should expect? Does it matter whether it is bulk or non-bulk billing?
Is it true that study leave and annual leave are not paid because one is on a private contract? I guess that is the same also for maternity leave?
Any tips of advice would be greatly apreciated!!

I know nothing about the field, nor am I a GP but The Cairns Post were advertising for registered GP's last week at $150 an hour.
I'll see if I can find the ad....
Edit: hope the link works...

Hi I went for a job at a local GP practice and was surprised to learn that all of the GP's were on a Sub-contract basis, so baysically presented the owner with an invoice for time. Therefore employer had no additional staffing expenses, can't really see how this would promote employee loyalty.
