Hi All,

We're looking to build on the Sunshine Coast with Metricon Homes. They seem much more expensive than other project builders - though the display homes do have a very high quality finish. Does anyone have any experience with them/feedback?

Hi Sonya,

My hubby is a carpenter for Metricon and they do expect a very high finish on their houses, they are one of the best builders out there, my hubby has worked for quite a few, they have a really good reputation and are worth paying the extra for!

Like most of them, everything nice is an extra... we chose the Denver 30, base price 212k, price is now up to 315k and counting. But the quality is good. Ask us again in 6 months when we're finished!

Metricon have a really bad reputation here in Melbourne, I've spoken to loads of pissed off people who have built with them.

But it all depends on which team you get, two identical houses could vary in quality from one end of the scale to the other.

We're building the Denver as well. Just at the finished slab stage and waiting for the frame to go up. Would be interested in whereabouts you are building and how far along you are. We are north of Brissy.

What size Denver did you end up building... We're looking at the Denver 46, but are a little undecided... It seems like a very big house!!
